We know you have many choices when looking for a storage facility and, at first glance, they may appear to be similar. But other self-storage facilities offer different services and levels of customer service, so a little research can go a long way in helping you get the best value for your dollar. To help you in your self-storage selection, here are a few do's and don'ts...

DO call a potential facility and visit it! Good phone service is important when you need to call to pay a bill or ask questions. Visiting the location will let you know If the facility is clean, well kept, secure and convenient for you.

DON'T base your decision solely on price. Sometimes the best fit for you is the least expensive, sometimes it isn't. Make sure the location you choose has the features that are important to you, such as: online bill payment, gated entrances,video monitoring,

DO choose a location close to your home or office. There's nothing more inconvenient than driving 30 minutes to get your sweaters or important files out of storage.

DON'T underestimate the amount of space you'll need. Too many people take a smaller size to save money, only to find they grow out of it quickly or can't fit everything to begin with! A good facility manager can help you determine the right size for your needs.  In the meantime, you can use our space estimator o get a better sense of how much space you'll need.

DON'T be afraid to ask any questions! It's your stuff and you should be able to walk away from a facility fully-informed and confident in your decision. A good self-storage facility will have a team that is happy to answer all of your questions and make sure you understand all of your rental options.
